January 22, 1973, abortion is legalized simultaneously in two separate courts, in two separate states, and on two differant levels. it was on this day that the "American Holocaust" began. The Chief Justice in the historical Roe v Wade case is quoted to say "Abortion is a necessary step toward the full emancipation of women". On this delusion, he bases his decision to legalize abortion, implying that abortion on demand is the women's "choice" and her constitutional right to have the means available for her to be able to legally destroy the life that is growing in her womb.
THIS WAS A FALLACY IN 1973 AND IS STILL A FALLACY TODAY!
Since that fatefull winter day in Texas and Georgia, millions of pre-born babies have had their lives ended for the sake of convenience. Additionally with each passing year there was an increasing amount of evidence that abortion can have a lasting and devastating effect on women, men, and families. yet, while thousands of babies continue to be murdered daily, and women all over the world suffers from Post Abortion Syndrome (PAS) the majority of society continues to believe that abortion should remain legal.
Roe v. Wade: Roe (Norma McCorvey) was an unmarried woman from Texas where an abortion was illegal unless the mother's life was at risk. The decision written by Chief Justice Harry Blackmun and based on the residual right to privacy (Griswold v. Connecticut - 1965) while striking down dozens of state anti-abortion statutes. By a vote of 7 - 2 with Justices White and Rehnquist in dissent, the court agreed with Roe and upheld her right to terminate her pregnancy in the first trimester.
Doe v. Bolton: Doe (Sandra Cano) was a poor, married mother of three from the state of Georgia, where the state law required permission for an abortion from a panel of doctors and hospital officials. This is the center of the partial - birth abortion debate, and expanded the new found right to include abortion right up until birth.
With the establishing the right to an abortion, this decision gave states the right to intervene in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy to protect the wellness of the woman and the "potential" life of the unborn. (the health of the mother was defined as physical wellness, psychologically, and financial wellness).
Abortion on demand is now commonly used as a form of birth control, for the sake of convenience.
