Have you heard? The Red Envelope Project has been generating a huge buzz on the internet lately. The project was inspired by a dream of sending 50 million empty red envelopes to President Barack Obama. The 50 million would represent the over 50 million babies slaughtered by surgical and medical abortion since January 22, 1973 when the U.S. Supreme Court decriminalized abortion via Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton decisions. The “empty” envelope signifies the life lost through the horrific crime of abortion.
We should always be communicating to our elected officials via writing letters, e-mails, faxes and phone calls – being a voice for the voiceless. I encourage you to participate in the Red Envelope Project. Pick up some inexpensive red envelopes, take them to your church and/or youth group, get a bunch of your peers who are outraged at abortion on demand in this country and send them to our president!
Address your envelopes to: President Barack Obama 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., NW Washington, D.C. 20500
On the back of the envelope write the following:"This envelope represents one child who died from abortion. It is empty because the world has taken away what that child had to offer. President Obama, please end abortion.”David Axelrod , a senior advisor to President Obama was on FOXNEWS Sunday and he mentioned that President Obama receives a sampling of letters mailed to him, reads them and responds, so the more red letters that are mailed the greater the chance this will be seen by the Prez himself! So go recruit, write and send! Let us know how it goes.
